HEINEKEN’S Business-to-Business (B2B) customers are diverse (e.g., bars, restaurants, small groceries, convenience stores) but through digitizing our business, our customers are uniform. The Global E-Business team is developing, together with our Operating Companies (OpCos = our markets), a winning solution by providing a superior customer experience that goes beyond ordering and order fulfilment, including personalized assortments, promotions, and business support. Hand in hand with digitizing business is the importance of value creation through reporting and analytics. The more we digitize our business, the more we can build on technology to provide valuable data and business insights.

The Internship

This internship will provide you with insights into one of the most exciting and dynamic areas within Heineken: the game-changing E-Business department. As an intern, you will be based in the E-Business PMO where you will learn a great deal about the running of such an exciting department, including; running a fitting governance model, programme management of our digital initiatives, reporting & insights on our business KPIs and the input into the knowledge management ecosystem. In addition, you will have the opportunity to connect to all aspects of our team: innovating & pioneering in the digital realm, learning how to work agile and getting an understanding of the role than “Change and Enablement” plays in adopting new ways of working in our business.

Your main responsibilities will be, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the team with running the E-Business PMO, e.g. supporting the governance moments, contributing to the knowledge management database.
  • Processing, analysing, and reporting data from our digital initiatives.
  • Supporting the team on the topic of Insights & Reporting: Supporting in automating the process of data collection, developing regional dashboards based on stakeholders’ needs and providing support to stakeholders in daily reporting practices
  • Developing and executing the E-Business PMO communication plan to our internal and external stakeholders.

You will be based in the E-Business PMO. As part of the E-Business PMO, you will be a central point of support and contact for the full E-Business team. This relatively new team consists of digital rockstars and change leaders supporting the worldwide Heineken business in their journey towards digitalization. The team exists out of multiple sub-teams: e.g., Digital & Technology team, Product Tribes and the Growth & Transformation teams. You will also be working with our functional teams: Finance, HR and Communications.

The Department

The E-Business team is a new team in HEINEKEN, formed to accelerate the Digital Transformation of HEINEKEN. We are pioneers, digitally native, open-minded, diverse and focused on learning & winning together. Our work is pioneering our digital solutions in many different markets. As we are eager to learn we are open-minded to new (outside) knowledge and testing this through MVP and Agile thinking. The Terms of Employment

  • Your starting date is 1 March 2023 (or around this date in consultation)
  • The internship is fulltime (in consultation also 4 days a week possible)
  • The duration of the internship is 5 or 6 months (in consultation with your internship supervisor).
  • It is a practice-oriented internship.
  • You will be based in Amsterdam.
  • You will receive an internship fee of €500 gross pm based on fulltime.
  • You will enjoy 2 vacation days per month (based on fulltime).
  • If you do not have a student OV product, your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed.

The Start of your Internship

Together with a diverse group of interns from different departments you will start your internship at HEINEKEN. Together you will be introduced to the organization. Furthermore, you can organize fun activities with your fellow interns.

  • HBO/WO Education, preference in a business-oriented direction
  • Strong interest in digital and data
  • Strong analytical skills, passion for data and crunching it using Excel and Power BI (PowerBI training included in internship)

Conditions of HEINEKEN

  1. You are enrolled at an educational institution.
  2. In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution.
  3. In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
  4. Physical presence at the location of your internship. We believe that you learn most when you can work directly with your colleagues. It is therefore not possible to work completely remote and HEINEKEN does not facilitate housing.
