About the assignment
The Combat Management System TACTICOS is developed at Thales in Hengelo and is designed to support an operator with the execution of his mission critical tasks. A clear and intuitive Human Machine Interface (HMI) is therefore very important. Modern hardware is equipped with HiDPI (4k) screens and in order to give the operator a clear and sharp user experience, the HMI must scale nicely based in the DPI settings in the operating system.
Your assignment is to update the current Swing look-and-feel, so it gets full support for HiDPI screens, which makes it easier to create scalable HMI’s. The current HMI should then be adapted so it uses this new look-and-feel and behaves correctly with different screen sizes.
