In this role, you have the opportunity to

Learn more about communications in an international environment. This is your opportunity to help Philips reach and engage with different key audiences, from employees to healthcare professionals. This internship will give you great insights in the overall communication function and in an agile way of working. Your work will have an impact all over the globe working within the Communications Center of Excellence (CCoE).

You are responsible for

  • Support implementation of integrated communications support package – process, tools, templates guidelines covering all channels/audiences.
  • Support the channel owner & activation efforts with publishing content, managing the owned channels presence, and sharing social media know-how across different departments in Philips.
  • Supporting community management and performance management on Philips corporate social media channels.
  • Support the roll-out of our new News & Insights Philips website section to the 80+ country websites.
  • Agile/scrum: facilitate Daily Management stand ups and manage the channels Azure board.

You are a part of

The Communications Center of Excellence (CCoE) is a team of content and channel managers/specialists who oversee the sourcing, creation, management scheduling, publishing, and measurement of global Philips communications content and channels. The Communications Center of Excellence is a sub-team of the Global Communications function, which directly reports into the CEO. You will be part of a dynamic and communicative team with a lot of touchpoints to the whole company including different countries. We use the Agile and Scrum methodology and are working sprints.

You will be working at the Head office of Philips in Amsterdam. We do support Hybrid working.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Currently studying towards your Bachelor or Master in: Communications, Marketing, Change Management or Public Relations
  • Self-starter, proactive, Team player and networker, Fast and eager learner with a high motivation.
  • Deep understanding of social media (experience with social media in a professional context has a preference).
  • Digital knowledgeable and up to date with latest digital (marketing) trends, and ideally have first experiences with digital marketing.
  • Fluent in oral and written English.

Our intern remuneration package:

  • Monthly full-time allowance between €500 – €700 gross, depending on educational level and if you would need to relocate to The Netherlands. If you will perform a part-time internship you will receive the allowance pro-rata.
  • Housing compensation, in case of relocating to the vicinity of the office, €300,- net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255,- net for all other Philips locations. You need to provide a rental contract of the land lord, and your normal home-work travel distance need to be more than 50 km or travel time (one way trip) need to be more than 1.5 hours.
  • Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €145,- net
  • Paid holidays per internship term. (160 hours when running 12 months internship)
